Bio Integrated Solutions seeks custom engineering and applications projects that push the integration limits in terms of sample volumes, precision requirement. The feasibility and initial prototype development phase, involves working with the customer, examining the feasibility of the individual tasks with respect to financial and time restrictions. The initial prototype development and testing then follows the time lines, with customer feedback at every step.

The mechanical design involves working with the state-of ?art tools in automation, liquid handling to ensure that the proposed design performs to the customer?s specification. Engineering drawing using 3D CAD software and other design tools provide elaborate project documentation.

The electrical design provides integration with the mechanical system to provide seamless integration using detailed panel layout, and creation of elaborate wiring and block diagrams. Selection of proper components of pump modules, servo motors, stepper motors are critical in the prototype development, exceeding the customer?s expectation.

The software team has extensive experience in areas of computer engineering, electrical board design and fabrication, computer programming using Visual C++, ActiveX and other key technologies critical in the design and development of flexible, integrated software for the liquid handling systems. Flexible GUI allows for real-time data logging, error handling and enables seamless integration with external databases for data analysis and data tracking.

Protocol Integration and Optimization

The ability to scale-up the manual procedure into an automated platform involves elaborate optimization of the liquid handling protocols, with special emphasis on the overall process variability (Precision and Repeatability). The integration also involves selection and integration of automation friendly devices, software and data base integration.

The increasing cost of the reagents also demands the overall scale-down in the reaction volumes, maintaining the overall reaction efficiencies.
